Executive Network

Gold Coast Executive Network is a Ft. Lauderdale business club of professionals, services, and stores serving South Florida. Real estate, financial, communication, leisure activities, entertainment, education, and insurance are a few of the areas our businesses cover. GCEN has created its own business community, which operates like a small town, where everyone knows everyone and you can trust GCEN members to do the best job possible. Club members are selected for their expertise, competence, and dependability. Whatever you might be looking for - personal grooming, insurance service, major appliances, accounting, attorney services, etc. - GCEN members can take care of you. Gold Coast Executive Network offers one stop shopping in South Florida.

Gold Coast Executive Network is a young, dynamic business group, 17 years old.  Already we have an impressive membership of 75 plus members.  We are in the forefront of local networking business clubs.  We are the largest and most prominent in Broward County.  Our members are energetic and active. GCEN exudes enthusiasm and interaction . . . this is what makes our networking club so successful!

Membership is limited to one company per category, i.e.  one dentist, one auto mechanic, one chiropractor, one florist, one office supply company, etc.  We are a not for profit corporation, with by-laws governed by a board of directors.  Club members meet every Tuesday . . .   the first Tuesday of the month for a breakfast meeting . . .   each Tuesday thereafter at a member's place of business from 5:30 to 7:30 in the evening.

As a local business club, we are concerned about our community and strive to give time, money and energy back.  We sponsor charities within our club membership - the Humane Society of Broward County, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center.

Our end of the month social networking event is always on the last tuesday.

Networking is a method of marketing businesses through personal recommendations.  With competition as stiff as it is these days, networking can be the source of additional business.  Gold Coast Executive Network believes this personal commitment is the best possible advertisement. Members receive a sales and referal base, peer group support network, education opportunities, and social functions.

How Does Networking Work?

  • Promote fellow club members.  The principle of networking is to get to know the skills of fellow members so you can recommend them.  By concentrating on giving and helping other club members, your reward, will in time, follow.  The networker's by-line is "Givers Get."
  • Attend weekly meetings.   For the networking concept to work, you must be present.   Attending weekly meetings becomes a way of life.
  • Set goals and focus on them.  Networking is finding out as much as possible about your fellow club members' businesses and needs, slowly and thoroughly.   Focus on one or two people at each meeting.  Learn what you have in common and build on it.
  • Exchange business leads.  You may not need the services of all your fellow club members, but you probably know people who do.  Listen and refer . . .  that's what Gold Coast Executive Network is all about. . .  a select group of businesses - professionals, services, retail stores, etc. - who network with and for one another.
